Janet Adams is honored to be joining the Vermilion business community.  Public accounting is where Janet’s heart is.  She enjoys and takes pride in the accounting, taxation and financial services she provides to her clients.  She is very fortunate that all the competent, dedicated and enthusiastic team at McMinis and Company, including Alan McMinis, that the clients have become accustomed to working with will continue to provide services to them.  Clients can rest assured that the strong relationships they depend on with the firm will continue.

Both Janet and her husband Barry were raised on farms. When Barry was involved in the mixed farm operation; he also purchased cattle and operated a feedlot which they thoroughly enjoyed.  Although they are no longer actively involved in farming, their passion is still there, and they continue to follow the commodity markets.

After articling and becoming a partner at the first CPA firm she worked at, Janet joined Burns, Valkenburg & Associates LLP (BVA LLP) in 2003. Combined, she has 25 years of experience as a partner. While at both firms, Janet assisted owner-managed businesses and not for profit agencies to reach their financial goals. She has a depth of knowledge of farming, oil and gas servicing, trucking companies, and professional and retail businesses. She is excited for the opportunity to be “back in the saddle again” in Vermilion.
